Matchday
This is Unity.
A full squad, a referee in the middle and a proper game with your mates. This is the feeling we are building every week.
Our home pitch
Waterside 3G

How it works
Three steps to kick off.
One captain books for the whole squad. You pay by invoice, so there is nothing to sign up to and no card details to enter on our site.
Enter your team
The captain fills in one short form for the whole squad. It takes about two minutes and your place is held for five days.
Pay your invoice
We email an invoice straight away. Pay by card or bank transfer. No account to create and no checkout to wade through.
Turn up and play
Once it is paid you are confirmed. We send your squad the player waiver link, then fixtures and kick off times before matchday.
Why Unity
Football, properly run.
We built Unity for adults who want a regular game without chasing pitches, referees and other teams every week.
Longer games
League matches are 45 minutes. Most local small sided leagues play 30.
Every game refereed
A referee on every game, every week.
A table that means something
Fixtures, results and standings published every week, with promotion and relegation once we have two divisions.
Sunday midday, not midnight
Games finish by 13:30, with the Waterside bar and restaurant on site for food and drinks after.
Filmed and photographed
Our events are professionally filmed, so your best goal could end up on our Instagram.
Built for wellbeing
Exercise, a regular routine and a new circle of friends. Football is the best excuse to get together.
Who can play?
Any adult aged 18 or over. Students, university staff and anyone from the wider community are welcome. Every player completes our registration and waiver before playing.
I don't have a team. Can I still play?
Yes. Email us with your name and preferred position and we will place you in a team with spaces.
How do I pay?
After you enter, we email the captain an invoice. Pay it by card or bank transfer within five days to confirm your place.
What happens if not enough teams enter?
Every event needs at least 4 paid teams. If we don't reach that, we cancel, refund every team in full and tell you straight away.
Can we get a refund if we drop out?
Tournament entry fees are non refundable if your team withdraws, and league fees are non refundable once a 4 week block has started. If we cancel, or the venue closes the pitch, you get a new date or a full refund.
What should we wear?
Moulded studs or astro trainers for the 3G surface, no metal studs. Shin pads are recommended. Bring a matching colour if you can; we provide bibs.
Can I referee for you?
Yes. We are recruiting referees for Sunday midday league and Cup matches. See referee with us or email enquiries@unitysportsleagues.com.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking on the Waterside Campus is paid, at the machines in the car park. We confirm parking details with your fixtures.
Get your team in.
Eight places. One cup. Early bird entry is £50 per team until 30 November.
